If you can't do intricate braids...

There is 2 super easy styles anyone can do. One is when you bend at the waist and brush your hair upside down until it's smooth then braid a normal braid upside down starting at the hair at the nape of your neck. Once it's secure you tie off, stand up and put the rest of your hair in either a neat or messy bun and pull out a few strands to frame your face.
The other really simple on I did yesterday. You make a crisp, neat part on the left side and right side of your head and gather the front together. Put the rest of your hair in a pony to keep it out of the way. Run a brush or comb through your hair that you have parted and gathered together until your hair is smooth. Make a normal 3 strand braid as close to your head as possible and braid it down. Put a hair colored elastic to hold. (If you find it difficult to do standing up, bend over and hold your hair up and slightly backwards as you braid, starting it as close to your scalp as possible. Once that's done, slick your hair back on the sides and put into a sleek pony (including the braid) and it's a Mohawk braid with pony. Yesterday I had air dried naturally wavy hair so I just let the braid hang loose down the back and mix in with my beachy waves and it looked great. Super easy. It might take a try or two to get it right but they are two of the easiest. Also, once it's braided you can gently pull on either side of tr braid all the way down and it's a looser, thicker looking, slightly messy braid. It looks fantastic when you softly pull apart the braid. Give it a try! Even if you gather your hair off to the side and do a simple braided side pony, if you loosen it a bit it looks thicker. Perfect for girls with thin hair. Adding dry shampoo before you braid gives lift at the root and more texture to silky hair so it's easier to braid.

I love braids but they always turn out a bit lopsided when I do it on myself. I guess I oughta practice more. Thank you for the hairspiration though :)
