Curly hair - leave in/ deep conditioning treatment

Sherri4g

Hi!

I have thick curly hair. It's been hit by some of my illnesses over the years my normal leave-ins and conditioning treatments are not able to keep up and keep it hydrated. My hair is starting to feel drier and less bouncy. I am looking for suggestions and recommendations for new leave ins and deep conditioning treatments to try to get my hair back in shape.

Thank you! :)

I have curly frizzy hair

Hi! I get your struggle. I had pin straight hair till puberty, when it slowly transitioned to curly and fizzy. I like to only use shampoo once a week, do an apple cider vinegar rinse once a month and my FAVE conditioner is the Aussie 3 minute miracle

The Aussie miracle 3-minute stuff is pretty good and it's cheap. I like to put argan oil and the Dr. Bronner's hair crème in my hair in my towel dried hair. I just add a tiny bit more argan oil if it gets too crazy.

I used to use the 3 minute miracle in my teens, I will have to try it again. Thank you!

I currently use a couple of light leave ins and Macadamia Leave in treatment oil, which is absolutely fantastic and a game changer for me. However, my hair has been calling out for something more lately.

Stop Wasting Money!

My hairdresser told me a secret to save myself tons of money being wasted in deep conditionings.
After you wash your hair at home, add your conditioner to it, and leave it on. Add a damp hot towel to your head to cover the hair and conditioner. Make the towel as hot as you can. Leave it on for 20 minutes or so. Do this a couple of times a week and you will have beautiful and soft hair in no time!

You're welcome!

I don't have any special tricks, I just do shampoo and conditioner. Air dry not hair dryer, and satin pillowcase to stop breakage.

I'm mostly here to read everyone else's tricks.

I leave most of my regular conditioner in instead of rinsing it all out and scrunch some Dove Absolute Curls Creme Serum in it while it's still wet and wrap it up in a cotton shirt to absorb the excess water for 10 or 15 minutes and then let it air dry the rest of the way.
