Economical Recipes

Any of you living on a strict budget where you are always ready to try meals, lunches, that do not break the wallet? Perhaps we all can add a not too expensive recipe for others to enjoy. I have so many. One of my fave ways to save and eat properly is to make a lot of soups which are much more healthy and appetizing than canned soups. I know whats in them and I always make up a big batch to freeze

inexpensive meals

The only fairly inexpensive recipe that I can think of is perogies made with diced onions and bacon cut up into tiny pieces. You can add sour cream as a condiment.

I hope that we get some fun, inexpensive ideas and recipes!!!

Enchiladas for the win

Ladies!! Enchilada's are super cheap to make
If you have leftover meat, and veggies in the fridge, all you need is tortillas and tomato sauce to complete this dish.

Here are the ingredients total you need, plus extras if you have:

Tomato Sauce
Chiptole Sauce

I usually like to plan my meals depending on what I have in the fridge and what's on sale that week at the store. If veggies are on sale, you a can always do a nice stir fry, you just need noodles (which are cheap), a sauce you like, and some combo of veggies. You can add meat if you like.

If meat is on sale, especially in the winter, you can do a nice stew and freeze some.

A quick money saving tip is check the reduced produce section, especially if you plan to cook your food that day or the next you can usually get discounted stuff that is still good if you cook it soon.
