Eyeshadow Primers

I ran out of my eye shadow primer a week a go and I have suddenly realised how much I loved it and I'm missing it terribly!!!!

I was actually using Clinique's Lid Smoothie - review over here, in a light pink which was perfect under everything but now that it is gone, I am definitely up to try something new!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've heard good things about Urban Decay's Primer Potion and Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance- has anyone used these?

I use the UDDP and its very good base and i do notice a bit of difference especially with my coastal scents palette shadows. Def. don't get the genie bottle one if you can find the squeeze tip one cause the wand/bottle of the old design is just awful (can never get it all out without surgeically cutting it open)

I also heard the MAC paintpots are a good base if you get the nude colored ones.

heard great things about

E.L.F eyeshadow primer potion. Apparently it's comparable to UDPP, and super elf cheap :-) You can even pick these up at Winners, just gotta keep an eye out for them!

I have MAC paintpot in Indianwood, and it works well. I can wear it just on it's own as a bronzish shade on my lids, or wear any colour on top of it, and for some weird reason the bronze colour tone of the paintpot doesn't alter the colour of the eyeshadow at all! Crazy...

I also have UDPP and it's excellent.

The L'Oreal face primer is AH-MAYZING especially for the price!! I actually like it more than my Smashbox foundation/face primer. I don't know if L'Oreal has come out with an eyeshadow primer as well, but if they have and if it's as good as their face primer, I'd def' try it!

@adeptbrunette I know shoppers and pharmaplus had little samples of the L'Oreal face primer they were giving out for free. You can always ask if they have them and try it out before buying? :-)

Elf too but

I like the Essentials primer. It comes in a few shades but the sheer tone is great! Im starting to get darker skin on my lids [old age sucks! :p ] but I can use this primer and just powder it for a natural look - better than concealer!

The mineral face primer is nice too - but really, I heard if you can find anti chaffing gel - dimethicone as main ingredient - thats all it really is.
