I've always wanted to know how to do a fishtail braid, and don't know why I haven't looked it up before, but I found a few video's of how to easily do it. It actually looks super simple :) I will definitely try this (I love the look of it!)

I remember learning how to do this braid when I was probably about 8. Loved it then and love it even more now that it's all over the runways!

I'm not a fan of this braid, for some reason it creeps me out, it might have something to do with how skinny it looks on a lot of people(like a tail) - or maybe it's just the name "fishtail".
This girl's hair is thicker so it actually think it looks kind of cool on her, but I'm not trying it anytime soon.

I find it kind of creepy too..just the way it looks..weird :-/ I watched the video and I'm in love with her hair!!! Gorgeous gorgeous hair! :)
|hair thickness, texture on Mar 10, 2011 @ 04:29 pm|
I have thick hair of medium texture. I think (hope!) it looks good in my hair because I do wear this style. I agree on thin, extremely silky hair it looks a little strange. The key is also to not weave it too tightly (though tight enough that it doesn't fall out - that's tricky) for best results.

It seems take too much time to make the hairdo. I am afraid I am not patient enough. I like simple style with some ornament. http://www.goodorient.com/Head_Ornaments_C335

it doesn't take long at all- maybe 2 minutes more (MAX) than a braid-- mind you, it takes me less than 20 seconds to put my hair in a braid. It looked really good, and was really simple! I do agree about hair thickness though...because my hair is layered, and thinned out at the bottom, the end of the fishtail looked too skinny.
