Yes I put this in all CAPS!

I spent the summer (patiently) growing out my hair just past my shoulders.  I have also (and it almost killed me) not colored my hair ALL SUMMER.

So now it's fall-and I really really REALLY want to wow my family when I go home for a visit in October.  I've been glancing through the fall trends in color and cuts and have seen a ton of things I like. I'd like to hear what you all have to say about this....

So I must ask you....what are your 'oooh's' and 'ahhh's' for Fall 2012? What haircolors and styles are you loving?

Shiny hair

Wow, good for you that you managed to keep your hair uncoloured all summer. That is impressive! Generally fall is all about darker shades that make your hair look really healthy and shiny. It's a great time to get a cut to get rid of any dryness from the hot weather, sun and swimming. Are you leaning towards keeping the length you've grown or going shorter?

Ali-thanks for this answer!

I actually was speaking with Eric on Friday about going darker and I am willing to entertain a length change as well. for me, this fall is about 'change' -I am doing different things with my wardrobe and I would like that to reflect from top to bottom (hair especially).

I'm open to anything-I'm lucky to know Eric and completely trust his judgement so it's time to book!

Follow the leaves!!

I too am toying with a change for fall! Last fall I went Red, my hair felt so thick and shiny! I stripped it back to blonde myself a few months later at home. My only issue, is I always want to change my hair but I know if I ever want to go back to blonde it wont be fun :(

I always think darker hair is better for winter / fall though, and red always makes hair look so shiny and well conditioned. I am not talking a ginger red but more a dark, multi-tonal colour.

So pretty! I personally prefer the blonde because it goes so well with your skin tone and brows, though I love the shade of red you chose.

wow!! Decisions, decisions....

both photos are beautiful! The red is pretty. I think your haircut is also flattering-especially loving the bangs!
