I have been dealing with very bad acne for many years now. I have tried almost every cleanser, face washes, face tools ect. and nothing ever seemed to really work. Does anyone know of any product that actually works well for clearing up blemishes? and that doesn't cost an arm n leg either. I don't live in a big city so my beauty products usually come from drug stores as well

While I don't have a specific drugstore product to recommend, I wanted to ask if you use sunscreen. I found that sunscreen was one of the biggest helpers in making sure that my post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation marks disappeared.
I use the double cleansing method. I make sure that I remove my makeup with oil, then go in and cleanse with a gentle cleanser. Unfortunately I can't recommend mine as it is not from the drugstore. A recommendation would depend on your skin type too.

I've had almost severe acne for a few years no and the only cleanser i found that actually worked on me was the Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel, it works on every skin type and it's not skin irritating so it doesn't bring up new acne or make it worse. It's usually 10$ at Walmart and 12$ everywhere else that sells Marcelle products.

Tea tree oil. It needs to be diluted with a carrier oil though because it can irritate the skin.
Also, apple cider vinegar. Stinky!! But it works.

Used to use proactive when my acne was out of control. But now that it's better I have switched to a Spectro Jel for blemish prone skin ... it is a drugstore offering ... gentle on the skin and not as drying as other cleansers.

I don't have acne luckily but I always recommend the Amie Purifying Facial Wash. This cleanser is 100% soap free; dermatologically tested; pH balanced; free from parabens, sulphates, mineral oils, petrochemicals and animal extracts; suitable for vegetarians and vegans; and contains all skin friendly extracts. (Written on back of bottle) it also says on the back of the bottle that the face wash is "a moisturizing facial wash that removes all dirt, oil and make up leaving skin beautifully soft and refreshed. May blossom and elderflower help control oiliness and prevent blemishes while Orange Blossom and raspberry tone and refresh. Natural moisturizers ensure skin is not dried out."
As you can see, this cleanser seems pretty great, and it is. All my makeup always comes off and my skin never feels dry nor oily. I've recommended it to people of all skin types and they've all loved it. It has helped those with oily skin and acne to have a clear face and those with dry skin have a more moisturized face. It also smells amazing hehe.
Unfortunately, I always have a lot of trouble finding this product, and even just the brand in general, in stores. I've only ever found it at shoppers drug Mart or online.
