Mario Badescu Lies About Ingredients

So, I just received my first little jar of a favourite product of mine from Fedex - mario Badescu Drying Cream.  I had originally received a sample of this that lasted over well over a year, and I decided to splurge and have my own jar shipped up here to Canada.

Online, the ingredients listed are as follows: Deionized Water (Aqua), Zinc Oxide,Aloe (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice) Gel,Cetyl Alcohol,Lemon (Citrus Medica Limonum) Extract, Colloidal Sulfur,Ervol,Octyl Palmitate,Ichthammol,Polysorbate 80, Titanium Dioxide,Polyglycerylmethacrylate (and) Propylene Glycol (ref. https://www.mariobadescu.com/drying-cream)

However, when I looked at my jar, the ingredients list is actually about three (3 !!) times longer!
For our sake, I will take type out the ingredients Actually listed on the jar:

Aqua (water), zinc oxide, cetyl alcohol, cera alba (beeswax), polysorbate 80, glycerinethylhexyl palmitate, titanium dioxide, propylene glycol, sulfur, oleth-10, paraffinum liquidum (mineral oil) ichthammol, hydrolyzed yeast protein, triticum vulgare (wheat) starch, arctium lappa root extract, cysteine, niacinamide, panthenol, nasturtium officinale flower (leaf extract), aloe barbadensis leaf juice, citrus limon (lemon) fruit extract, tocopherol, allantoin, biotin, arginine, leucine, lysine, tyrosine, valine, glutamic acid, cellulose gum, polysorbate 20, maltodextrin, zinc chloride, glyceryl arcylate/acrylic acid copolymer, pyridoxine HCI, parfum (fragrance), sodium chloride, methylparaben, propylparaben.

What LIES. I am actually quite outraged and furious about this.

That is crazy. I had tried their free samples they send out back in the day. That's how they get people to try their products, wasn't impressed.

Thanks for the heads up.

Did you contact them?

I agree all ingredients should be listed on the website - especially if they are selling it online.

I think you should contact the company and express your concern. They need to rectify this.

Thought it was so so.

I received a sample pack awhile ago, and I've been using the samples and I read the reviews they had in their brochure, Martha Stewart uses their products. So I thought, this will be life changing, I discovered the skin-care of youth. Sorry, it was just so so.

Mario Badescu Healing Cream and Control Cream

The Mario Badescu company has actually been in a little trouble before...They failed to disclose that both the 'Healing Cream' and 'Control Cream' contain steroid substances on their ingredients lists. I would search those new ingredients you listed on the web so you know what you are putting on your face, just in case those ingredients are in there. The situation with them has been settled and they handled it correctly, so I am sure they will answer your questions quickly.

I personally love the Mario Badescu drying lotion spot treatment, which I will use about once every couple of months.

They are expensive products...

I too, have used their stuff in the past. I know they have a celebrity clientele because Cher, Cindy Crawford, or Oprah can affford their products/services in NYC. It sounds like you are very concerned about their credibility and whether they are being true to their clients. Please, question them. If you don't feel they are being honourable about their goods, tell them. You will get a refund because it's you to know what feels right or wrong. And it's pricey stuff.

Mario skincare

I received a lot of samples from them a few months back.I never had a problem with any of them. They worked well, but I can't afford most of their products.

Free samples

I wait 6 months and re apply for the free samples box every time, they are a great addition to my gym bag, however I would not ever buy them. All of their skin care products seem cheap, kind of effective, but not that great. If they're free, I don't mind having it, but I would never pay for it

of course I contacted them!

seriously - who wouldn't after finding this out.

They did not get back to me, however; go figure.

And no reply from the company, of course.
