No more nail polish bubbles ...

In my experience, a few reasons could be possible ...

- dirty nail beds (always clean with nail polish remover prior to applying polish - gets rid of old polish and oils)
- shaking nail polish bottles - although doing this helps mix the polish, it also creates little air bubbles
- applying too thick of a coat - traps air underneath and surfaces in the form of bubbles as it dries

- using old nail polish

- using a base coat always helps, not only to protect your nails but also helps keep them smooth

Good luck, hope this has helped!

Some good advice

davrina offers some very good advice (although I disagree with the first point - remover residue can contribute to bubbles.) I prefer to wash, rinse thoroughly, and dry thoroughly by rubbing with a towel.

Roll your polish bottles to mix the contents without incorporating air.

Apply the thinnest coats possible and let each dry for at least 20 minutes before topping. You'll need more coats this way, but won't have to start over. Just be patient and settle in with an audiobook or good TV show!

If your polish has become thick, replace it or thin with a bit of nail polish THINNER, not remover. It's not easy to find, but salons use it to make it possible to use their polishes down to nearly the last drop.

.

Do not shake your nail polish....This will create bubbles and air pockets inside the polish. What you need to do is simply roll nail polish back and forth in your palms of your hands too mix the polish up! works like a charm!
