Products to reduce pore size

Hi all, what are the best skincare products that you have used to effectively reduce pore size? I’m looking to try new items.

I don't believe there is really a product to shrink pores. As long as you clean your face and exfoliate and make sure your pores are not clogged they will look as small as they are going to. After that all you can do is look for a good primer and foundation to cover them up. I have very small pores and always thought it was because I always finish washing my face with a splash of cool water but I read that's a myth and nothing really shrinks your pores. I think it all comes down to genetics. I could be wrong, I'm just going by articles I have read online cause I am obsessed with skin care.

Worked for me...

Since this past November, I've been using The Ordinary's Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, followed bt the Matrixyl 10% HA as a moisturizer. In the evening I use either their Lactic Acid, or Alpha Lipoic Acid as a treatment, and I've seen incredible results! On days when I don't feel like wearing makeup, I now feel like I can skip it, and if I choose to wear it, it looks so glowy and smooth! I think after using this regime, it's definitely shrinker the look of my pores! It's very affordable too! Hope this helps! :)

My reply keeps disappearing before I can post....argh!

Try adding a pore minimizing toner to your morning routine and using peel off face masks and Biore pore strips at night after a hot shower or bath.

My fave picks

I like using Vichy’s Normaderm Purifying pore-tightening lotion (toner) as a final step to my morning cleaning routine, before applying a good moisturizer that I follow up with a pore minimizing primer before applying my makeup. Just make sure to allow each product to thoroughly soak into your skin before applying the next one. And pay extra attention to your t-zone or other areas you feel your pores are most noticeable when using the toner.

I recently purchased Neutrogena’s “Pore Refining Toner” to try out bc of a promotion at my local store & I actually find that it seems to be more effective at reducing the appearance of pores. But I find that it’s a bit harsh & drying for daily use. So just make sure to use with caution with this product & don’t skip the moisturizer afterwards!

At night

at night I like to use peel off face masks that are formulated to remove dirt & grime hidden deep in your pores and/or ones that tighten up your whole facial area. I also love Biore Pore Strips and find that they are still the most effective at getting out any bit of hidden gunk to leave your pores completely clean. I’ve tried 100’s of products, but these always remove the most dirt from deep down.
Use these products after a hot shower or bath when your pores are completely open to get the most effective purging effects. But be careful not to overdo it with these products either or you will irritate your skin & also stimulate faster oil/sebum production causing the opposite effect.
And always use them at night, not in the morning as your pores will appear enlarged for several hours after use due to opening and purging the grime from them.

If nothing else

your pores will be completely clean & gunk free, thus making them less noticeable and easier to cover up & minimizing their visibility
