Red Lipstick

I have so many red lipsticks.. every brand, every shade, you name it. The issue is that I can't bring myself to wear them outside my house. Lol
I feel like I look stupid or overdone or "out there," but when I see it on other people, it's stunning!

So.. how do I muster up the courage to wear lipstick? Any tips/advice? Thanks!

Red Lipstick

Well, I love red lipstick too but I don't wear it out very often either. My biggest problem is a lot of them bleed terribly on me. I have to use a lipliner or it looks like someone trapped my lips in a vacuum. ;)

Honestly, the best thing to do is just go out and wear it. You'll be surprised at all the comments you get, and it'll make it easier. :)

Take a risk

I can understand what you're saying. Lipsticks are meant to be worn. After lining and applying your lipstick. You should place a tissue and dust with loose powder over your lips. It was help hold the lipcolour better. Then do a quick colour touch up. It's fun to wear your lipstick out and don't forget to do some touch ups when needed. I've been wearing new lipsticks lately and it's a good time to have fun with them. Good to change it up. People might notice you. (But you don't mind) Colours are meant to be experimented with. Don't be shy esp. during the fall/winter season.

Not for me!

I agree that long are the days that Red Lipsticks were from our grandmother's era lol. They do look elegant when worn properly with the right makeup, clothing and hair combination. But I do think that not just anyone can wear it. Like for example I cannot wear anything red in terms of clothing. And I'm talking about a nice red, not the orangy reds. But what is considered a black-red because of the hues in the pigmentation, blue-reds aren't bad either but the black-reds are much better, deeper and richer in color. If you can pull it off than go for it. :)

It's wearable!

Revlon just came out with a whole new line of limited edition reds. I find that if I use foundation on my lips, or a concealer just before I put on the lipstick, it doesn't bleed. Kind of sets it. And if you're going out at night, reds are hot!
