Revlon Lash Jewels & Sugar Sugar?

Feisty Redhead

Has anyone seen or tried either of these? I stumbled onto them on today and couldn't help myself; I ordered the Crystal Gaze Lash Jewels and Lemon Drop Sugar Sugar. I remember a high end brand (can't recall which one) had a product like Lash Jewels a couple years ago - I remember getting the Sephora catalog and just drooling over it but I couldn't justify spending $30 on it.

got them today

The package got here today, and judging by the lack of replies lol I have to assume nobody's tried either of these products yet so I figured if anyone's curious I'd give you my initial thoughts.

The Sugar Sugar is ok, nothing really special about it though. The packaging is cute, the color is a nice pale gold, but the product itself is just your basic fine cosmetic glitter. It's really gritty when first applied (I applied over lip gloss) - it somehow isn't as gritty after a few minutes so it's not too bad. But overall there is really nothing special about it and the high price is primarily for the packaging which again is cute but doesn't really make the price worth it in my opinion. Any lip-safe glitter/shimmer pigment from a mineral makeup brand could be used the same way to achieve the same look.

The Lash Jewels on the other hand I am in love with. It's a little tricky to use and if you aren't careful your lashes will clump - but for me it's been pretty easy to get the hang of using it after just a couple test runs with it. It makes it look like you have little droplets of rain or melted snow on the tips of your lashes, like you were just out dancing in the rain or snow. Which is a look I like. It's fun and cute and unique - I am definitely going to pick up another tube or two of the clear as well as the other colors.

If anyone wants I can take some pictures of both of them, just ask. =)
