Best Cars for New Drivers?

jcohan

There are a few key specs to consider when researching a car for a new driver. Teens, young adults, or even first time buyers look to price point and versatility, which can make or break their final decision. Depending on the driver's lifestyle and day-to-day routine, size can also be a major factor when purchasing a car. Bigger cars make for better carpool vehicles and are often more comfortable during long periods of travel. Parents of one or more licensed drivers find that having a larger car helps eliminate conflict by ensuring extra room to fit their teens and their friends. These models are also good for hauling big loads as they are extremely spacious. A lot of families will use a full-sized SUV for everything from family road trips to soccer practice drop-offs.

However, other new drivers and buyers may be more inclined to purchase a mid-size SUV when residing in cities or crowded areas with limited parking. A smaller SUV is a great option for those in need of getting from A to B without any fuss. Most mid-size SUVs are great for road trips, commutes, and smaller families. If you're not sure you need all the space a full-size SUV offers, consider a mid-size for the lower price yet similar capabilities.

I would suggest a reliable car that holds it's value such as a Toyota.
