This has been a serious topic of debate amongst my friends. Some girls say who cares if he farts in front of me/in bed. It just means he's comfortable.

I say, gross!! I don't want him to ever feel THAT comfortable in front of me. I don't share my bodily functions with you and therefore you shouldn't share them with me. What do you guys think?

LOL...

I don't care at all but I do mess around with him telling him ewwwww....and your nasty like it does gross me out but it doesn't bother me, he's just comfortable and it's a normal thing every one farts. Funny thing that I do like keeping mine private, I get embarrassed if I fart in front of him but we mess around and start joking bout it's ok for him to do it and not myself. I like to joke around that I'm the normal one that doesn't fart like them since I am the lady in the house. I have 2 boys and with my hubby it's 3 so if it's not one it's the other one if not the 3 of'em, lol....Boys are gassy! I'm surrounded by them, BOYS/FARTS but o well, lol...I just like to think of myself as the Queen and getting spoil even more since I didn't get the luck of having a little girl but I love my boys and I'm a happy girl.

it happens

My boyfriend does it way too much... I used to get mad but now I just laugh because Im scared that if I scold him, he will bring up the time that I accidentally did it in my sleep and woke us both up in the process...

*keep in mind that we are both light sleepers.

farting

I must say I have no choice but to be forgiving. I have the worst case of flatulence. Doesn't matter that I cut red meat out of my diet; don't eat beans; keep away from anything that produces excess gas and STILL I suffer and if I don't let it release, OMG my stomach is in such pain and I bloat.
I tend to do it much more than my partner. So I laugh it off when he does, which is much more rare than me.
It's a natural bodily function and until someone can come up with a way to ban gas from our intestines well....and just how many women really have long, smelly farts in the washroom at work!!!!

I know this is an old discussion but..........

I'm gonna leave my opinion anyways. I know many many MANY men who fart deliberately, like little kids trying to get a reaction out of their women. Thankfully, they weren't MY men, but god knows I've seen plenty of my friends' men do this. I've even seen them lift their leg like a dog and let one rip. Disgusting. All the while chuckling like nimrods. 100% deliberate. There are a great deal of men that need to grow up. So I really do think this person is completely wrong about this topic.

Personally, I'd prefer if my guy DIDN'T make it a habit, but I can't say I've never done it myself. We're all human and we all happen to fart. Living with somebody ups your chances of letting one slip in front of them. For me it becomes an issue of trying to have a gross out contest. I draw the line there.

We're human and it kinda brings us closer lol!

I was terrified after I got married and moved in with my husband. He had farted in front of me a lot and it was never offensive haha it was always funny. We were wrestling on the floor in our new apartment and I 'tooted' hahaha he busted out laughing and yelled "anddddd she wins by a toot!!!" hahahah I was so embarrassed but it brought us closer, I didnt feel so awkward around him. We walk in when one another is using the potty even, he knows all my gross secrets and I know all his.

When you care about someone, to me, you should be able to be who you when you are alone, with that person. If they dont like it, then youre going to be living a very 'keep an eye on everything I do' type of a relationship and thats no fun! But thats just me =]

I dont like it either

but if you polled all the ladies that have been with their guy for years.....not shorter relationships, then I'd think you'd find the farting and peeing in front of stories increase.
Unfortunately every guy I know gets sloppy with the 'manners' part of early dating as the years go on. They may hold a door - but after they step through first. They'll get things for you - if you ask, none of the anticpating your wants/needs any more etc.
And when the kids start coming, the fart is a huge amusment game to share with them. Any of you ladies heard of a Dutch oven? yuck!

Be considerate

Farting (or as us British would say "trumping") is a natural human act. This doesn't make it attractive or pleasant though. Let's put it like this, when spouse goes to the toilet would we choose to accompany him/her? The majority would say no. So when it comes to trumping, I think it's nice to keep it a shy zone. Okay, sometimes it happens and you can't help it, but for me I love it when my boyfriend is then apologetic. Not laughing like a 10 year old. I have two younger brothers for that.
