Boot trends?

I know that right now there isn't any snow in Toronto, but I am looking for new boots that are trendy, yet comfortable (and also don't cost a fortune!). Anyone got any ideas?

A difficult task...

I've been looking for the same myself for quite a while. I find that most of the stuff in malls is too trendy (slouch is in overkill and not done properly) or out dated (ultra pointy boots). When I was in Italy last spring they had the most gorgeous boots. Ultra supple leather cowboy boots with a modern spin. They were slouchy, yet a nice fit on the calves so you can wear with a skirt - actually most Italians wear them with skirts or sun dresses and it looks amazing. They were more urban chic than country western. Stuff here is still too country western. I was a fool not to have bought them then. I noticed that Nine West has some nice boots ( i prefer the new stock) and they have a promotion going on right now to buy 1 get the second at 1/2 off. The boots I liked there are tall black zip up boots with a buckle at the ankle. The extra detail with the buckle is nice and the toe is neither pointy or round. I believe they were about $220 but I could be wrong. As far as toe shapes go, I noticed that round or cowboy toe seem to be the way things are going. Good luck! If anyone else can think of anything please bring it on!

Thanks!

Good advice. I find that Aldo has some nice, trendy boots, but some of those heels looks ridiculously high to be comfortable! I will try to scout out for low/flat heels. I will check Nine West. Thank you :)
