DIY Sweatshirts

Recently I went a little DIY crazy and decided I wanted to see what I could do with a few colours of fabric paint, some sweatshirts (new and old) and some time on my hands :)  So I decided to post some of my creations here, just in case anyone decides they have a little time on their hands and want to go a little DIY crazy like me ;) I warn you now, the images painted on the sweatshirts may not be of everyone's taste, but to each their own right? :) Let me know what you guys think :)

Great job!!

I think they're cute and its a great idea. You could even do this on children's sweatshirts. What kind of paint are you using and did you free hand these, or use a pattern?

Thank you :) I used Tulip Soft Fabric Paints in a velveteen finish, which were purchased at Micheals for about 2-3 dollars per paint and I cut a stencil for the images :) aha I wish I could free hand, the only other paint related DIY's that I've done free hand is polka dot pants and a hearts sweater..which are pretty straight forward for anyone :)

I just might give this a try and make some up for my Step Grandson's. Where did you get the stencils, from Michael's as well, or on line?

Good Luck :)

I just got an image from Google that I liked, printed that and cut the stencil using an x-acto knife.

Love them!

I never thought of doing this, but am definitely going to give it a try.
This will be amazing to make for all the obscure bands I love but refuse to pay $100 for merch! (movies too)
I'll let you know how mine turn out!
