Do you buy new or used.

Do you buy new or used clothing? If you do where do you draw the line ie is there anything you won't buy used? If you don't buy used why don't you? And if you don't how do you justify the retail price?

new or used clothing

I tend to always back new clothing because I am plus size and it is difficult to find used clothing in plus size. Also, where I live there are not any stores that really sell used clothing.
I always buy my clothing at the end of season so that I can get at least 50%-70% off.

Both!

No to used underwear, swimsuits or shoes for me. But I love me some good hand me downs and thrift store finds for everything else. I also love new clothes but tend to buy on sale or clearance. You can get new for the same price as used sometimes.

I always buy new but only because I’ve had zero luck at thrift stores. I know so many people who find amazing items at thrift stores but I haven’t had any luck. I also only buy items on sale! Never pay full price lol.

I purchase both new and used. I find some really great things at Goodwill and other thrift stores in my area. There are some Goodwill locations where stores like Target will simply drop off brand new with tags clothing, shoes and accessories and certain GW locations I can even find high-end items, those I visit frequently to score some amazing finds. I will never purchase any used underwear or used makeup or skincare items.
I hit up department stores like Macy's, and Von Maur to get end of season items up to 80% especially now in February, Most items in Macy's are on their last mark down to at least 80-90% off so it's a great time to visit stores you may think are too expensive. A few weeks ago I was able to get $1000 worth of merchandise from Macy's off the clearance racks for just $200. If you go at the right time and TAKE your time to go through the clearance racks you can really rack up for cheap.

I'm a thrift shopper. Used to be Winners, until I found so many unique pieces and shoes, great names, often still with store tags on at Value Village 50% off sales. Sally Ann sales also has treasures. When I travel, I find the thrift shops.
My under garments & swimwear are still purchased at Winners.

I buy new clothes. I buy cheap brands when items are trendy and I don't need them to last. I pay more for good quality classic pieces so they last a long time but I still usually get these on sale. I have tried buying used in the past but found the time and effort wasn't worth the price difference most of the time.

Do you buy new or used clothing?
I buy new & used clothing literally all the time. haha

If you do where do you draw the line ie is there anything you won't buy used?
I draw the line at used undergarments (bra's/panties/lingerie) & also shoes.

If you don't buy used why don't you?
I typically buy used before I would consider buying new, but I do buy new bras, undergarments & shoes. I just cannot do used for those items. The germs, bacteria & the thought of where it's been is just, no. Lol.

And if you don't how do you justify the retail price?
When I buy retail, it's a VERY rare occasion that i will pay full price for anything. I always hit clearance first ;)
