Dressing for my body type

jello814

I have an apple body shape with very narrow hips and a thick midsection and I am finding it very hard to find cute ways to dress up my shape.  The majority of clothes that I have are baggy or bulky and I use them to hide my midsection, but I am looking for some fashion tips that will help me embrace my shape and still have a sense of style.  Any ideas?

Neat link...

Hey there

I recently had an e-newsletter from Smart Set with a cute take on how to dress all body shapes with tips, dos and don'ts and a video after each body shape.

Hope that gives you some inspiration!

Apple Shapes

Big and baggy clothes always seem like a good idea at the time but in reality, they always make you look bulkier. The best advice I can give you is to belt it! I always use a belt to define my waist, it always makes you look smaller. Also, wrap dresses are very flattering on pretty much anyone!

If you're on top than on your bottom, I also suggest staying away from skinny jeans and going for a wider cut on the bottom to balance everything out, try A line skirts too!

Guess it comes down to figuring out your assets and playing them up!

I have a hard time finding trendy clothing in plus sizes that fit right. Alot of the plus clothing stores, seem that all their shirts and blouses where the arm is hangs so low, like it's extra big. I have boobs which makes me have to shop in the plus sized section.
