how can i look sexy in winter?

on Oct 15, 2008 @ 10:07 pm

i find dresses, shorts, and skirts sooo sexy (basically, anything that shows skin in a semi-classy way, ha), but in the winter i can't wear any of these. i know some girls can rock a nice pair of skinnies, but my bod is just not... nice enough for that imo. jeans are hard to look good in, you know?

any ideas on how i can still look sexy in winter?

in winter i usually still wear miniskirts and shorts but i pair them up with stockings and boots(any kind)...i love wearing tights with a long ragged jersey...looks very funky.there are many ways to look sexy in winter.when going out for dinner i usually wear a coat (above knee length) with a pair of opaque stockings once again and pair this with a cute pair of stilletos.

Hi. I would recommend matching tights to your skirts or a heavy shorts with matching tights with classy flat boots. It is a very classy and sexy look....always seems to draw more than the usual attention.

Sweater dresses are great and easy to match with stockings for color. Accessorize with a funky belt, scarf or hat and you're set! Tall boots or ankle boots also go great with sweater dresses.

Most of the time it isn't the amount of material that covers your body that keeps you warm, but rather the type of material and certain parts of your body that you keep covered. Legs aren't that sensitive to the cold, so a thick pair of stockings should be enough. Just make sure your neck is covered as well as arms and feet. And of course your head ;)

Cool hats? on Dec 08, 2008 @ 01:19 pm

What kinds of hats are in style? I want to wear a hat to stay warm but don't know what is in style.

Cozy sweaters can be sexy too. Look for ones with a wide top to show some shoulder, or a scoop back.

As for hats, I keep seeing cute berets that have some extra material at the end so it slouches. Earmuffs are cute too. I'm looking to buy a pair of Burberry earmuffs this winter. :)

Your bod is not nice? WTF are you talking about?

Fitted FTW! on Jan 12, 2009 @ 06:57 pm

I work at Victoria's Secret and live in NY, so I totally understand where you're coming from. Dressing Sexy is practically my life. In the winter (and at work) I wear clothes that fit (not too tight though, then you look like a sausage!). I like to wear v-neck and boatnecks in the wintertime, they still show a hint of cleavage and my collarbone. When you go out, you can cover your bare neck with a sweet flirty scarf. You should also definitely experiment with layers of tights and mini skirts, some people look great with that combination (and I think you're one of them judging from your pic!).

Also, don't forget that your hair and makeup can make you sexy too, a touch of sexy lip gloss and flirty eyes can make almost any guy

IF I WERE YOU... on Jan 16, 2009 @ 11:39 am

First of all with a jaket hat and gloves its hard so makesure your face has that winter sex appeal going on...its what most people are going to see. It takes some trial and error but for blonds:

a pale pink blush, some translucent pink shimmery white (with a hint of gold or pink) easy on the bronzer or too much of a tan...its just obviously unatural in the winter time... if youve got darker hair and skin the same shadow works but go for a deeper shade of blush ....

As for lips winters a good time to try a plumper corld weather restricts blood frow so your lips can actually look a little tight. use a gloss your comfortable with (the frosty look can be sketchy on blonds so id sugest a tinted one and you can add a dab of your shadow or blush to tie it all together)

Now rember that you dont have to show skin to look hot so pack up your playboy mentality for the season and think super hot special agent ;)

A long fitted v neck is always hot with a pair of thick leggings and boots- i love the turtle neck sweater dress with thick textured tights and short slouchy pulled back with a heavyhanded black eye line!!!! hot stuff I tell you!

if you waira few pair of thick tights (the HUE brand have my favorite) you can wair some hot skirts and dresses with the right shoes or boots and a trench:)

Another look I love is the all black tuurtle neck and legginfs with boots and a skinny belt -hair in a high messy bun a rich red lip stain (the lighter your skin the lighter the stain) gloss and heavy mascarra...

I am with the other gals on this one. I like to make sure my jewellery is reflective of my mood in winter and I pick things like sweater dresses and leggings with boots, longer skirts with boots w/form fitting sweater. I also like to make sure what I wear underneath makes me feel attractive :-)

Maybe a scarf... on Apr 05, 2009 @ 07:57 pm

Even just a bright, unique patterned scarf with a black blazer could do the trick. Throw on some big earrings, pull your hair back and there you go =)
