Just wondering if anyone has ever purchased from them?!  They have beautiful dresses!  I love almost every one, but I'm so weary about purchasing clothes online, despite reading the reviews.  Especially since they are an American website and I'd have to pay the additional shipping charges to Canada, I want to know if the quality of the merchandise is worth it!

Anyone?

Modcloth

I've only bought from there once a couple of years ago!
I picked up a dress and my roommate at the time picked up a few items as well. I loved the quality and I had no problems with the company!
I did have to get the dress altered but c'est la vie when you order online.
I did get hit with customs though... those broker fees are BRUTAL. :/

They sure are!

I'm on a bit of hiatus from ordering from the US these days.
I made the mistake of ordering candy from there.
NEVER try to order candy from the US. The fees they charge at the border for it would blow your mind! :/

Modcloth

I have bought from Modcloth before. I would suggest reading the reviews on an item before you purchase it because they tell the truth of whether it is a good buy or not. I think that Modcloth does have great quality items though. I can't speak on the custom prices because I am in the US. I do wish that they had actual stores and weren't just an online company.

Good products but insane canadian customs

Modcloth is a great website! Trendy and good quality. I am a canadian shopper too hence I wanted to share the following pointers:
- READ the reviews and then invest. I have heard that some of their stuff looks deceiving.
- Only worth if it's exclusive (at least to a canadian shopper).
My instance: I got booties that cost $58.89 shipping and handling = $74ish $17.68 (CANADIAN CUSTOMS!!) = almost $90.
I would only buy again if it's either the best product or the best deal everr.

Ugh to online

I've definitely browsed on ModCloth tons of times, and it all looks beautiful but so expensive for not being able to try it on. I bought a few items from Nasty Gal this summer and when received I also had to pay 40 dollars shipping for customs, the shirt was way longer than made out to be and the shorts were awful. They had no shape, and the button came off when I picked them up.

Not impressed. Therefore, I usually don't do too much shopping online. Every piece fits differently and how pissed would you be if you had to send it all back, at your cost?

Just think it out :)

It Depends

I've bought from them before. Shopping for clothes online is iffy and can go either way. I had no problems with them as far as the item that I bought, but the shipping killed me and so did customs.

Free Shipping within Canada

I almost shopped at Modcloth but went somewhere else coz of customs worries and shipping time. You can also check out this new store Gracestars. Pretty good prices and ships from inside Canada so no customs or duties, free shipping over $75. If you live in BC, they ship for $3 flat.
