Shopping for a formal dress

Miss K

Ladies I need some help:

I am going to a university formal in a few weeks. I have shoes - black peep toe pumps with gold-ish piping. They have a vintage feel and a little bit of texturing on the front.

I don't want to wear a black dress, any ideas for fun and funky stores to shop in Toronto? I don't have much time to shop, one day at most so any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Thanks ladies!

Eaton Centre?

I don't really know any stores and I haven't gone to a formal in a long time. Most of the time I just go to the Eaton Centre and do a sweep. Most likely I'll find something at Sears, The Bay or RW&Co. Then add in a few stores that you see on the way. You can definitely cover the Eaton Centre in one day. But this is if you live in Toronto, if you live somewhere else, then I'm not sure.

Sorry I don't know any boutiques.

If you can afford it, Fashion Crimes on Queen St. is great, as the dresses would be more original, and they tend to be more funky, perhaps more in tune with the feel of your shoes. I don't live in the city, so don't know much else. Laura Petite has some cute dresses in stock, as did RW&Co.

Good luck!

I agree

with Nessie, try out Fashion Crimes on Queen Street and other stores along that strip for more unique dresses. RW&Co is good for your standard formal dresses but since a lot of people go there for dresses, assume someone else at your event may be wearing the exact same dress as you.

Fashion Crimes made quite the impression on you at the Shop Crawl Ness eh? :o) It's an awesome store!
