1.5 Million Dollar Dog

Would you pay $1.5 million for a pure bread dog? That's what a Chinese multi-millionaire paid for a Tibetan mastiff. The dog is pretty cute, but with all that fur I'm sure it will need its own full-time groomer and really should your dog be more high maintenance than you? Oh, and did I mention the dog coast $1.5 million?!

I want a puppy!

Oh he is so cute, I really want to get a great big dog like that; a husky, or a St Bernard. I can't afford to take care of any kind of pet right now, but as soon as I can! I'm getting my puppy from a shelter though, those guys need a good home and I would be happy to provide one :)

Love him!!

He reminds me of a teddy bear. He’s way too big for me though. My Lab takes up enough space and I don't think Takoda would like a new puppy running around in HIS house. Having to share my bed with him is bad enough; he's a real bed huge! LOL

How long have you had your dog takoda?

that's a beautiful dog! It really does look like a teddy bear, it must be so soft!

I like other people's dogs but I'm not interested in having pets of my own.

love dogs-the more the merrier....

but don't know if I would pay that much!

I like to get my dogs from a rescue or shelter. Would rather give one of them an awesome home!

Sorry Lauren I didn't see this

It will be five years this coming Aug that we got our big baby Takoda. My pic is him at two months old. He thinks he's a person not a dog and he even snores when he sleeps. He's such a suck and so attached to us that we can't leave him by his self for any longer then two hours at a time, or he has panic attacks. It's crazy and my back door has taken a beating because of it. He tries to brake out and has my door all scratched from the door handle to the bottom of the door. He even ripped up the kitchen floor trying to get out. When he was younger we had one of those plastic dog cages for him, but he chewed right through the walls. He was good until he reach about five months and then out of know where he started this. I think someone came to my door and scared him. What ever it was nothing I have tried to get him to relax works, so I'm always on a two hour time limit unless I want to come home to a panicked 90 pound lab. Trust me you don't want to come home to a 90 pound dog that’s in a panic and wants to sit on your lap. It's not pretty. LOL
But other then that he's my God sent. When he was only two months old he was laying on my bed next to my watching TV. Out of no where he started braking and was jumping on me not letting me stand up. I had a seizure a few second later and ever since that day he knows when I'm going to have a seizure before I do and won't let me stand up. I told our vet that he started doing this and he told me that a study was just starting because it was believe labs could tell when someone was about to have a seizure. He asked me if I wanted to let him go to this and help him learn more, but he was my baby by then and I didn't want to give him up for two years. So he stayed with us and warns me all on his own with out any training.
We hope to have him with us for many many more years. If you have the space for a big dog and are thinking about getting one, get a lab, you won't be disappointed. Just make sure you have the time to train him and teach him some manners, other wise they can get out of hand really fast. They think they're puppies for a lot longer then most dogs do. Give me a shout if you'd like to know more about my big baby. LOL

That was the sweetest story!

Mike would LOVE to get a lab when we finally get a dog (not for a long while - like you said, they think they're people, and a puppy can be as much work as a baby sometimes). You're so blessed to have a buddy like Takoda to keep watch over you :)

You're so right Lauren

I really do feel blessed to have Takoda. We love him more each day he’s with us. My husband thought it was a good idea to bring home a puppy two months after I had our second son and it was a very bad idea. He was working all day, I had a two year old and a new born that was sick to care for, so the last thing I needed was a puppy. Although I tried to give him all the attention I could it just wasn’t enough and he’s the one that suffered the most because of it. You really have to spend the right amount of time with them just like a child, or it’s really not fair to them. It’s a big commitment, but when the time is right it’s all very well worth it. I hope one day the two of you can fine a four legged friend like we did to share your lives with.

Honestly, probably would...

I mean if i was making 20 Million a year anyways and this dog was very specific to my needs and had the best health line etc etc as an guarantee, I most definitely would. Although, I am quite biased as I'm an absolutely crazy animal person. :)
