.

I started looking for Christmas gifts, but it's still too early for me to be thinking of decorations. My tree never goes up before the weekend before Christmas, so it will definitely be a while before my tree is up.

I actually think instead of bringing a sense of normality, it might highlight all the changes we've had to make. We won't be having a large family get together or visiting friends the way we normally would.

Christmas Crazy!

I for one am SO looking forward to the holiday season. Hoping it will bring some normality back to our lives. I find that everything festive gives me such joy and I am really looking forward to it!

I too am looking forward to Christmas. Hopefully the Covid situation will be better. Nevertheless, our bubble is just immediate family anyway. Looking forward to a new grandchild joining us next year as well. My fingers are crossed that all will be going well!

:)

I set up my Christmas tree last weekend and I couldn't be happier. I know it's soon (according to who?) but I was tired of listening to and thinking stuff about Covid, so I needed my light at the end of the tunnel. Being at home doesn't feel that bad anymore.

I love Christmas but I never put my tree up till December. I always start my Christmas shopping in October though. Three of my kids have a birthday in November so we still have alot to celebrate before Christmas.

Christmas with a difference

Christmas 2020 for the UK will be much different for families as what we’re used to due to Coronavirus restrictions. A large number of shops and businesses have been closed for most of the year to stop the movement of many people to stop the spread of the virus. This Christmas will probably just be as enjoyable we can still celebrate it but in smaller groups whilst taking precautions. I’ve been advised not to go to the shops when they re-open on Dec 3 but to be honest our malls have been putting in place so many precautions like hand sanitizer dispensers when they are allowed to re open, and everyone in UK goes shopping wearing a mask now. The times I have been to the mall I have felt quite safe so I will use my own judgement.

CHRISTMAS IN THEE UK

2020 dealt us so many challenges with a lot of us miimizing our contact with others due to this COVID virus. I am glad I was allowed to make a little christmas bubble of only 4 of my close family after I had, of course tested negaative, with the family members of my bubble also getting tested, reducing their activity beforehand and also distancing, keeping up the hand hygiene and wearing masks in a supermarket. we were all very careful but we still had a good day. For 2021 I hope we can be more back to normal
