Scare them with your "Engagement Ring"

jchang212

Have you guys ever heard of Ms Taken?
It's a fake engagement ring set in a keychain for any time use to ward off creepy guys at the bar/gym, wherever you may encounter them.

Do you think this is a tactful idea to scare off potential pervs?

a little much

If a guy won't leave you alone if you simply say you aren't interested, he probably won't care too much whether you're taken or not!

Yes!

Cathy that's probably true.
But, I have a few friends who do wear fake engagement rings to bars - so now I guess the trend is just becoming commercialized

@Lauren

Does it work for your friends?

Depends

I think it depends on the night, the guy, and how far they have to take the lie. I know it's worked a couple of times at least.

This assumes...

...that men are observant. Isn't it the women checking out each other's bling? Men are kind of oblivious about that stuff, aren't they?

True..

...But at least if you have to point it out to them you've got a little hard evidence (even if it is a fake)

I think....

this is AWESOME.

However I may be biased as I am a HUGE fan of the bling bling!

I'm on the fence

I don't know..I think it might be a bit much. It really depends on the guys and I know a lot of guys don't really care whether you're engaged or married bc they're not looking for anything serious. It's a good idea though and I do think it will work to a certain extent but I doubt guys will care especially at a bar when they're just drunk anyways
