The movie we've all waited two years for is finally here, but the reviews aren't exactly positive. You can read some of them on our blog.
Do you have some extravagant plans to watch the movie with your girlfriends this weekend?

I definitely plan to see the movie but I'm going to wait until next week when the crowds die down a bit!
After reading a couple mediocre reviews, it sounds like some reviewers are being unnecessarily harsh.
I like the idea of the girls going on a vacation, it adds a change of pace. I get what the reviewer was saying about how their lavish vaca may not seem relatable to some people, but we loved their lavish lifestyles and closets in the TV series and first movie, so how could we expect any less from them on vaca??
And part of the attraction to the show was that while you could relate to their friendships and heartaches, you lusted after their fab wardrobes and lifestyle.
I doubt any woman is going to walk into the theatre expecting an Oscar-worthy plotline! As long as we get to see the girls we love, hear a few cute jokes, and lust after their clothing/hair/everything about them, movie-watchers will be getting exactly what they've waited 2 years to see!

|It's fun, forget the critics! on May 27, 2010 @ 06:41 pm|
Ok so the critics hated it. But we don't watch SATC for the plot
complexities or intellectual stimulation. We watch it to catch up with
our favourite girls, get an eye full of clothes porn and live
vicariously through their lavish lifestyles. And that's exactly what
First, let's talk about The Clothes. I don't think they could possibly
top the clothes if they were ever to do a 3rd movie. They were
outrageous. They were wonderful. They were hideous. There were times
people in the theatre groaned or clapped at The Clothes. The dessert
scene for example where all 4 characters looked like they'd taken a
wrong turn on route to a Halloween party. Have a look at Samantha's
headdress, will you? Does it make you cringe?
Carrie walks around the spice market in the most ridiculous 80s outfit
complete with rocker t-shirt and long pouffy flowing skirt where she
proceeds to buy a gross looking pair of shoes with horns on them. But
would we have it any other way?
