What do you put in your healthy smoothies?

Usually I put Banana, strawberries, raspberries and avocado.


Kale, kiwi, raspberries, strawberries

Pretty much any berry i have in the house, a banana, and either avocado or kale ( kale makes it a bit thicker if you like that.

And avocado you cant taste in it, usually the banana masks the flavor

Keeping it simple

If you are looking to keep it simple - I buy frozen fruit and frozen yogurt; add some juice and voila.
You could add fresh fruit (banana / strawberries) or protein powder if you want it to give you more nutrition.

Chocolate Banana Smoothie

I make a healthier chocolate shake for my toddler for breakfast, he loves it.

1 frozen banana

1 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tbsp of peanut butter

1 cup of milk

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

My favorite smoothie recipe

1 cup of frozen strawberries

1 frozen banana

1 individual yogurt

top with water

( I usually share this with my son, its yummy)

I freeze fruit all the time so I use whatever fruit I have frozen, plus a banana, hemp hearts, yogurt and carrots or some sort of vege.

Not into it!

Decent concoctions of smoothies don't taste bad but I just cannot get into it. Don't know why, I just am not crazy about drinking smoothies. It's like the not so new social convention that since it's been widely introduced, it hasn't gone out of fashion lol. There's even diet's that are smoothie infused as a meal replacement tactic. Maybe someday I'll get into it, who knows! :)

me neither

I have to say I never got into healthy smoothies. I pretty much hate the taste of all fruit except grapes and apples, and I'm not a big fan of veggies unless it's broccoli or cauliflower on its own. I know, I'm picky. The chocolate/banana recipe by Mandadee sounds good in theory, but I dislike peanut butter. lol So basically for me to down a healthy smoothie it had better only taste like chocolate or vanilla. I've got a magic bullet, so I think it would be pretty easy to make. I'll probably take the healthy smoothie route to force more fruit and veggies on my kid if he ends up being similar to me. I'm hoping he takes after his dad's taste palette, since the man will eat anything.
