Jen, you are awesome for reminding us all of these humbling stats. Here's a project I plan on contributing to again this year that I think everyone should at least consider:
I know many of us have bills to pay, debt and other stresses in our lives but helping out for the greater good is so important because if we don't do it, no one else will.

It can be so easy to feel sorry for ourselves because of stress with family members, tightening budgets and lack of a social life, but these stats really remind us how great we have it.

I love the poster Jen, thanks so much for the reminder!!
mamaluv, absolutely true, it's so easy to have a pity party and forget how blessed we are...
and ali, charities like the one you posted really not only helps them, but i feel helps us too.. there's something emotionally healing about helping someone less fortunate.
these past few weeks I've been really involved in UnitedWay campaign at work, and today am going to Sistering for an agency tour with a few other ladies from my work to see how what we do helps them.. i'm really looking forward to it!!
My brother participates in a homeless food/clothes drive every Friday (Scots Mission I think?) anyways, I wish i could do something hands on to help towards a charity close to my heart. I'm going to Sistering in the hopes that maybe they might need a volunteer... let's see :-)

Thanks for posting that Jen! That would be a great thing to print out and stick to the fridge or a mirror as a daily reminder of what is really important.

Jen, one word to describe you is inspiring. You inspire amazing things and you have great style in the process! You're a strong, intelligent, beautiful young woman! Thank you for reminding us to be grateful for what we have :)

I came across this very touching video log about dealing with a bad day. Some parts of it felt like the person knew me personally and was talking directly to me (the parts about holding onto anger and not forgiving, not letting go) ... Here's the link, I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did!
