Another Scam

Ladies be aware if you have a Tangerine account, a realistic looking scam email asking you to reconfirm your account is going around!

Always look at the url (website address) before putting in any information.

No probs. Normally I can spot a scam a mile away, but they used all of Tangerine's usual subject headings and banners so I checked out the site and noted the URL was not Tangerine's. But I'm more tech-savvy than some people so thought I'd share!

If you're with gmail you can 'report phishing' to help catch the scammers!

same...what is tangerine?

In my opinion the best bank in Canada as it doesn't charge fees! Being from the UK where fees are not normal I am very anti-bank fees and Quebec doesn't have the President's Choice bank option.

If you check out Tangerine (formerly INGdirect) and decide to sign up, use my orange key and we both get money! My orange Key: 39438885S1

Thanks! I'll make sure to pass the word along to family and friends.

Kawartha Credit Union is also a good bank without any fees (up until age 26, unfortunately). I used to bank there!

Kind of off topic... sorry! Lol. Also, I was looking in to Tangerine - so if I open an account I will definitely use your "orange key"!

Thanks, I find Tangerine really good. It's online only, but if you live in a big city, they usually have 'orange cafes' where you can get any question answered and the phone line is 24hours too. Haven't had a bad experience with them in five years of being with them.
