Best Credit Card

Hi Guys,

The mastercard company I'm with just sent me a letter saying that they're no longer going to support online statements.  I can't believe a company would take such a huge back step, but there you go.

I'm in the market for a new master card.  I don't care about interest rates 'cuz I never have to pay it, I always pay my full balance on time.  I do want a master card that gives the most cashback / points / etc.  Any recommendations?

ARe you in Canada?

What I love about my MC is that I don't pay an annual fee, get some cash back (not a ton), AND also have a small part of my purchase go to the OSPCA (Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty against Animals). I mean its a tiny bit they get... but its something, right? It's Bank of Montreal... but you really have to ask for it...they told me it didn't exist, but it does. Bonus - the card has a cute kitten on it.

I can't believe they wouldn't support online? I can understand paper... that's a shame. If you're in Canada TD gives good cash back, and if you're looking for points, a lot of people like the President's Choice MC for the points you get and can spend on groceries.

I guess it depends what you want to use your points towards, flights, groceries, beauty products etc.

@tashacat wow I didn't know something like that existed. that's pretty cool. I bet you the bank probably doesn't make any initial money from you signing up for the card, that's probably why it 'didn't exist'

beauty products!! lol

I wish Sephora had a mastercard that gave good points! ;-) I would be on it like nobody's business!

@Tashcat: I never knew such a thing exited! Thanks for letting me know! :)

I'd be second for that Sephora points card too lol!

I'm in Toronto to be more specific and I find that TD and President's choice has good mastercards. I have a cashback visa and prefer that over points since it's money in my pocket I can spend it on what I need.

I forgot to mention, Shoppers has a mastercard which would be perfect since you're looking for beauty rewards.See the link below for the info.

Lots of options...

The PC MC is pretty good..and the dollars add up fast (especially if you shop like me). And since you can use them in the Superstore, you can get lots of different stuff. I used to collect Air Miles... and never used them. If you traded Air Miles for merchandise, it wasn't a great deal for me.

I've had the SPCA MC (the no-fee cash back) but here are other options for more cash back or Air Miles. LOL.. I swear I don't work for them... but for those who are interested here's the link:

I agree with Tashacat, you have some great options. I forgot about how the PC points can be used for the beauty products and even the Joe Fresh line as well... that's a great value points wise if you shop there!

Good topic, Becky!

I want a Sephora one too! But I suppose Shoppers would be almost as good :) Hooked on mine though.

@alize Great points! yeah - totally strange that the company would not support online statements. I thought that was the way they were all going.

I thought the same as well tashacat...

Becky... who was the company that no longer supports online if you don't mind me asking? Wouldn't want to get anything with them to find out I couldn't be supported online
