.

I used to be a software tester, testing video games and whatnot, before that customer service and retail. (but my french isn't good enough for that in Quebec yet).

Since my agoraphobia I test products from home and try to make money with surveys etc. I'm so lucky to have a husband who earns enough that we can live, but it's very tight, I hope to be well enough to go back to work in summer. I love my video game testing job!

That sounds like an awesome job to me. I would love to be able to work from.
I am a Medical Radiation Technologist, which is just the fancy term for x-ray tech. I do enjoy it most days but I find it very hard on my body. It can be mentally exhausting sometimes too. I work at a rehabilitation hospital and I see a lot kids who have had rough lives. It's sad, especially when you see their health decline. On a positive note, there are a lot of success stories too!

It's fun but...

My husband says I work more now than when I worked at my actual job, because I feel so guilty about needing time off. So it can be hard to 'switch off' when you're working from home.

That sounds like a really good job, but I understand how it can be rough. I think anyone in the medical field has to deal with those heartbreaking stories that just tear you up inside.

How did you get into that?

I am a Dietary Aide at the hospital. I had shoulder surgery in October 2016 but injured myself in April of 2015. I haven't worked in almost a year but could be going back soon. Just waiting to see how it turns out.!

It sucks when you can't get a job in your field! Keep trying and I hope something comes along for you!

I know how it feels to be stuck at home due to illness! I hope you're able to go back and your arm is feeling much better.

I hope your recovery has been going well. Injuries can be very frustrating!
How do you like working in the hospital? Is it a large site?
