Department/Shopping Mall Mirrors?

Anonymous

Is it just me or every time I'm at a mall or in a dressing room at a store, I hate looking at myself in those mirrors.

They make my face look horrible and my skin so pale (I'm not pale) and so huge!

Do they do something with those mirrors? I feel sad every time I look at myself in those mirrors. The mirrors at at home or anywhere else does NOT make me look like that.

Aren't they suppose to make people look slimmer with nice complexion so they could buy more stuff?

I know my cousin used to do retail and she said they do something with the mirrors, especially at a beauty supplies place so people could feel badly about their skin and buy more products.

Thoughts?

I look sickly pale in dressing room mirrors, also has to do with the lighting. Some stores have bright lights others have dull lights.

Hmm

I always look pale, so I can't comment on that aspect, other than to say that it's probably the lighting and not the mirror. As for mirrors making your figure look a certain way, I think it depends on the store. Sometimes I look the same as I do at home. Other times I get home and an item looks completely different than it did in the store.
