Do you believe in the Paranormal?

Ok! So..

I have been watching a few shows on Netflix - Ghost Hunters, Destination Truth, and Ghost Adventures - and I have become completely fascinated (and curious) about the parnormal.

Has anyone on here experienced something paranormal before?

Share your stories! I'd love to hear.

I don't know if this is a bit weird, but I LOVE ghost stories and anything paranormal related.

I'm weirdly obsessed with hearing them and I am totally on board for hearing anyone's stories. I personally don't have any experiences but a friend of mine has told me that her younger brother has had a few incidents with the paranormal.

One is particularly freaky: when they were younger and playing together, he suddenly stopped playing and started to talking to someone. Only there was no one there. He mentioned this to their mother and he started calling this person by name and saying that she wanted him to come with her. It happened again a few days later and he kept saying, 'no I can't go with you!' and then the incidents stopped. The story always gives me the goose bumps!

On another note, has anyone ever done those ghost tours?

So interesting!

I find this stuff incredible interesting as well. The whole "fear of the unknown" aspect to it. I've never had any experiences myself, but a girl I work with says her parents house is haunted. Lights will go on and off, they can hear people walking and chairs moving in rooms that are empty. Creepy stuff! She takes her friends there sometimes to scare them haha's her own mini ghost tour! Her parents think it's haunted too but nothing bad has ever happened so they don't feel the need to move. It's a happy ghost I guess!

I had a ghost experience in Italy a few years back. I was on a B&R;trip (which is the coolest kind of guided trip ever), and we were staying in a 5 star hotel in Tuscany that used to be a convent. There appeared to be only 2 levels to the hotel and we were on the top one. The first night we were there I heard what sounded like someone walking on the level above us, but it creeped me out because it sounded like the person was walking on wooden floors (but all the floors were stone) and it sounded like they had on wooden shoes. This person was walking back and forth really slowly. Then I heard a creaky door opening and that freaked me out even more because this hotel was beautifully redone. Nothing creaky about it.

The next morning I mentioned to the guides that I had trouble sleeping because of this person that was pacing above us. I couldn't figure out how it was possible since we were on the top floor. The guides looked at each other with a weird expression and then changed the subject. The next night nothing happened. The night after that we were in another hotel and then one of the guides said he wasn't going to say anything while we were still at the other hotel, but they say it is haunted by a ghost nun. Our room in particular. Gee, thanks! I'm really glad I didn't know that when we still had another night left there! Oh and by the way, there was no 3rd floor to that hotel.

The guide has a blog and he ended up writing about it here:

@ Ali

That sounds like it would have been quite the experience! I'm going to have to check out the guide's blog, and see what he has to say about everything. I'd definitely be spooked, too!

I've only had one personal experience before, and it happened after my boyfriend passed away in a car accident. The evening of his passing, and the evening after - we started having a few issues in our family home. The lights would flicker, the computer's printer would start up on it's own and print out pictures of my boyfriend that my mother had taken of us a few days earlier. Also, the telephone would quickly ring once - almost as though it was "shocked".. I also remember seeing a glowing mist in the basement (where we always hungout together), but still cannot figure out if it was real, or my eyes just adjusting to the darkness.. The strange thing about these experiences was that everything immediately stopped happening as soon as my boyfriend was creamated (sp?) and laid to rest.

Ever since then, I have had a great obsession for anything paranormal.

I sure do believe!

Two of my sister in-law lived in and still do live in haunted houses. My kids like to stay at their one Aunts house so they can try and catch her ghosts on tape. The little buggers won't do anything while their trying to tape them, but a soon as they put everything away they start up. She has to sleep with night lights on all the time. She says because if she turns the light out they stand at the end of her bed and stare at her. I couldn't handle that at all!! She’s always been more in tuned to the dead and I think this is why they are so drawn to her besides the fact that her house is over 100 years old and been a lot of different things over the years. She had this old candle holding sitting on a table and for weeks every time she'd go out when she came back in the house it would be sitting in the middle of her kitchen floor. She told me it was making her crazy so she tossed the candle holder out. Sometimes their very active and other time their quite for months. From the time she bought that house I’ve always felt like someone is watching me when I’m there, its very creepy!!
My other sister in-law grew up in a haunted house and use to tell us stories all the time. My brothers both heard people walking around in the house when they were in the basement one day. They thought her father had come home and went up stairs to tell him how the job was going only to find on one there. They both left the house as fast as they could. LOL
I haven’t had anything happen to me, but I sure do believe in ghosts and love all of those shows!
