I just took my G test and didn't go to any driving lessons at all to help me prepare. I simply spent a few weeks before the test with my car radio off focusing very hard on breaking my bad habits - ie. driving the limit, both hands on the wheel, checking the mirror all the time, always using signals etc.
If you want lessons, you can try Young Drivers. I think they charge $50 for a one hour lesson before the test. At least that was the going rate when I did my G2. They can at least help remind you about those good habits. Otherwise it's all about being confident!
