Feeling Boastful

Is it only me or does anyone else feel guilty or boastful when they say what contests and/or free stuff they get? I always stop myself because i don't want to flaunt it or make anyone feel badly But, I do enjoy reading what you gals get actually, so interesting to hear.

I truly love hearing about others good fortune, and am inspired by ways of saving money, time, etc...
Not boasting at all...putting positive out there in the universe :)

I feel weird sometimes taking about things I've gotten too but I love hearing what others have received. I could read about it all day!

Love to Hear!

I love to hear what other's won! It gives me a good feeling and helps me feel more encouraged to keep entering. :)

That being said, I don't mind sharing my stories as well.

I personally get a bit shy about that kind of stuff but I really do love reading what you chicks win / receive. As other chicks have said, it encourages me and shows me that if you try, it is possible that you can win! It gives me a bit of hope for myself.

Once, I made a thread about a spin to win contest and in all honesty, jujusamples response encouraged me to just keep spinning (I have nothing to lose so I just continued even though I was not that hopeful) and I eventually got a spinning win :) From the cottonelle contest, it was a flushable wipes pack and I actually received it today in the mail!

Love it

It always makes me feel like it is possible and so happy for you guys. Envy and jealousy usually comes from a place of not being happy with yourself. You find that once you love yourself you want to lift others up and see them happy too.

At least that's what I've found in my life so far.

Like Dandy says, often it'll encourage me to keep going with a contest!

I think it's great when people win - it's art of life though - not everyone wins, and when you do, you feel that much more fortunate :)

I love it when people win. I get all goose bumpy and giddy. Hearing other people being happy about winning or getting freebies of any kind just kinda spreads the happiness around. wonderwhatif said it best about envy and jealousy.

I think it shows good "sportsmanship" when you are able to meaningfully congratulate those who do get opportunities. To also be able to share your excitement of having been accepted with the concept of having others support you in the process, is amazing and healthy actually. That's another thing I love about ChickAdvisor. It's like being each other's cheerleaders and we each take turns in celebrating.
