Fifty Shades

I'm surprised I haven't seen a topic pop up on this yet!

Has anyone here read or heard of the Fifty Shades trilogy (Fifty Shade of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Free) by E. L. James?

If you haven't let me tell you, it's definitely not for the faint of heart and if they rated books like they do movies, it would definitely be a R. Oh my is it very hot though, I could not put them down and read all 3 in less than a week! lol

Anyone else get drawn in by the very mysterious Christian Grey?

I saw an interview done with the writer not to long ago. It sounded pretty hot to me!!LOL
I haven't read it, but it sure sounded good! I'll have to put it on my list of books to read, along with the half a dozen I still haven't finished. I'm so bad at starting a book and then putting it down for months at a time. It has to be really good to keep me reading it right through to the end and this one sounds like it's one of those stay up all night reads.

I have all 3 books but haven't had a chance to start reading them yet. They are getting such a huge hype, I really want to read them! I'm lucky I have them on my iPad so no one will be witnessing me reading R rated books haha :)

I have been hearing a lot about this trilogy and while I am curious, I am not sure if I want to read them. This is embarrassing but until like two weeks ago, I thought 50 Shade of Grey was about something COMPLETELY different. I knew they were a steamy, sexy trilogy but I thought that the "grey" referred to seniors. Yes, I thought the books were about seniors "getting it on" for lack of a better term. I thought grey referred to their hair or something. I know. I know. Haha, my brother actually corrected me!

@alex - don't feel bad. Until like a few months ago I thought The Hunger Games was about a group of girls battling eating disorders!

This seems a little steamy for me to read so I probbably won't. Too busy reading textbooks anyways!

@Becky - I read mine on my Kindle and at one point a cousin of mine was asking questions about my Kindle and wanted to know what book I was currently reading, I totally lied and told him about a book I had just read prior! Haha did not want to go there!

@Alex - I was kind of the same... I wasn't thinking that old, but from what I had heard about it I assumed it was about some bored 40-50ish housewives. I also did not expect it to be as risqué as it really was.

@Becky- I know exactly what you mean. As I was reading the first post I was thanking god for my Kobo so that no one would see me toting around this book lol.

I've heard all the hype around this trilogy, but I am not interested at all, just not my cup of tea.

I read this several years ago when it was a Twilight Fanfiction. Lol let that image sink into your head. Mr. Grey was none other than Edward Cullen xD
