Hair loss after pregnancy.

Shystarr79

I had my daughter a few months ago and have been losing hair. I don't have patches falling out or anything but I'm still losing more than I would like. I'm still taking a prenatal cause I'm breastfeeding. I also take an omega supplement. I don't wear my hair back or anything. Is there any tips, tricks or products I should look into.

Following...I am on the same boat. I know biotin can help but at the same time it has to be the right dose cause too much of it is not good while breastfeeding.
I tried Monat shampoo that some ppl swear buy and it did nothing for me (it actually irritated eczema I have by the hairline...sigh).
With my first baby things started getting better when she was around a year old so there is light at the end of the tunnel but since my second baby is not even 6 months yet I wouldn't mind tips and tricks...the thought of another half a year of shedding is not a nice one!

They say during pregnancy your hair gets thicker so maybe it's just getting back to how it was before.

Similar problem.

I have the same situation at the moment. My hairs are everywhere in the house. The situation was not so bad even when I was pregnant or BFing. I asked my dermatologist for help. He said it is a lack of vitamins. He advised to take supplements that contain VitA, Bs, C, D, E as well as iron and zinc. I saw suitable supps on Canadian Pharmacy and they have good rewievs. Also, I'm wondering what shampoos do you girls use? I have a oily head skin. Maybe you have some suggestions?
