Hairstylists and Coronavirus

Anonymous

Anyone else here hairstylists and afraid to go back to work? I'm an asthmatic and terrified of potentialally being forced to wear a mask I can't breathe in. Also I wear glasses that fog up with one on.  Afraid people won't be honest if they've been sick when they come in because I've had clients give me other illnesses many times in my career, coughing and sneezing in my chair and I wake up sick the next day.  Im terrified

I would hope that people would be honest about their health before going into someone's place of work and possible infecting others! It's just hair and not worth getting sick or getting someone else sick for! I hope there are rules and regulations in place when things do re open to hopefully combat the issues you are concerned about :)

Hairdressing Salons / Hair stylists covid

In the UK there's been & will continue to be a mandatory mask order for all public places, salons included when they re-open here. The prospect of showing proof of vaccination is also being discussed too. It's a good idea to prevent anyone who hasn't received the vaccine or who may be sick passing on an infection which could close a store or service. Retail staff in supermarkets also having to mask up, and they are also on a kiosk behind a screen.
