mamaluv@juliettecoteHigh school is great for many people and horrible for many others. Often it comes down to your friendship circles. If you have great friends, even a crappy HS will be a good experience. If you have no friends, the best HS in the world will feel like the loneliest place.
My advice to you is to look at what you can change to make your situation better. Are your friends (or lack of) dragging you down? See if you can build new relationships. Get involved in extracurriculars because that can be an excellent place to connect with new people. Whether that's a charity club or eco group, or maybe a sport that is not as intense as the marquee sports (i.e. cross country running, water polo, badminton instead of volleyball/basketball/football), you might be surprised how much you like it.
I had a pretty horrible time in Junior High (i.e. middle school), but I switched to a HS outside of my catchment, joined the Track & Field team and choir, and it made a huge difference for me. Hope things start looking up for you!
