Hey ladies, those of you who've known me for a while know the poor state of my health. I'm trying my best, but often feel like I'm running full pelt forward and getting nowhere. As you can understand, it's very stressful. Lately I've been even more exhausted and am getting more tests this week as it's suddenly gotten worse with no change in lifestyle (if anything I'm making healthier choices than before).

But this post is to ask for advice. How do those of you with illness cope with housework. Hubby works full time and does his best but we are both stressed all the time. I feel like by the time I get around to cleaning (and this usually requires really pushing myself combined with luck combined with a slightly 'better' than usual day) it's time to clean again.

Since cleaning has to be done regularly it's like managing to clean the house makes little difference as the next week it's filthy again. I feel like I spend all my time cleaning and it's still not enough to keep the house nice and germ free. I can only imagine the nightmare of if there are kids or more family around being messy.

Any advice on how to lighten the load and destress? Should I just stop caring about cleaning? That really bothers me from a hygenic standpoint. As it is, I clean far less than I did when I was healthy, so I always feel like I'm way behind.

Thanks ladies <3

Maybe make a chores calendar? Like Monday Laundry, Tuesday Bathrooms, etc.? Maybe that might make it feel lighter if you do a little bit everyday? I don't have an illness but this usually works for me when I'm feeling depressed and don't want to do anything for months. So I end up doing a little each weekend (since I have no time during the week working 2 jobs)

I am sorry that you are feeling overwhelmed with your health issues and trying to keep up with the weekly cleaning chores!!

The only thing that I can think of is if you could afford to have a cleaning lady come in once a week. That way you and hubby don't have to feel so stressed about the cleanliness of your home. It would give you more time to concentrate on feeling better.

The air in my house

Great post! Doing the housework I care about the air in my house. Air purifiers are very important because the air is often polluted and we breathe it. It's bad for your health. Therefore, I recently decided to buy an air purifier for myself too. When I read the reviews on this site freshairdevices.com . I found a suitable air purifier for my house. It was exactly what was needed.
