Idols New Judges- What do we think?

I only caught a little bit of the premiere of the brand new and improved? IDOL! I don't know if it is necessarily improved (I only caught about 45 mins of it... but I must say, I am pleased to see J.lo on the panel! I think she is a pretty nice substitution to Paula (with a little more sanity). Steven Tyler was pretty good too. What do you all think of the new panel of judgeS??

I didn't watch it but I heard that Steven Tyler and JLo were really nice to the contestants and that the episode really focused on the positive now that Simon isn't around to be nasty.

I think that these are much better choices than Ellen Degeneres last year!

didn't watch

... but a friend of mine did. I tend to not tune in until they're down to 24 finalists. Ellen will not be missed at all. She added nothing to the show, which made me sad b/c I really like Ellen. Ironically, I will miss Kara. She is in the business so she could actually provide serious (and sane) critiques. I don't think JLo or Steven Tyler can replace Simon (personality-wise), but I'll give them a go in February when they have their finalists selected.

Won't Be Watching

I don't think I'll be watching this season but, I'll probably tune in for one of their "Best & Worst Of" shows because those are always hilarious.

haven't watched for a while

I kind of lost interest long ago, as I tend to do with most reality shows. Despite the twists and turns, the new contestants, and all the other gimmicks the producers try, the "new" seasons of all these shows really are just more of the same.

I would be interested to see what Steven Tyler brings, because I'm a child of (wait, nevermind)... er, pre-Britney Spears, and I like me some Aerosmith! That's part of the reason I have always loved Randy, aside from his genuineness (kind of the only judge who both kept it real and was sympathetic), was Journey.
