I thought I should post this here. For those of you new to the site, we recently partnered with Meebo, an instant messaging company that you can access any time from any computer. You can use it to talk to other members on ChickAdvisor by embedding it directly in your profile.
To do this, create a meebo account at meebo.com, then get the embed code snippet from their widgets section and put it in your profile under widgets on ChickAdvisor, and voila!

I was going to post something about meebo asking you about it because Scents of Peace asked me to Meebo here. I am now going to attempt (being the operative word) adding meebo to my profile! WOO HOO! :o)

It's very handy when you're using a public computer also, especially one's that do not allow IM download software - since it opens in a browser when not logged into ChickAdvisor ;-)

I was wondering how to work that. Thank you, I will do that now...

I am having a little but of difficulty with my meebo. Does anyone know if you have to have an msn account? Because when I log in, it doesn't work.
Then I go onto my meebo on ChickAdvisor and I am meeboing myself when I type a message, it just repeats as meeboguest and arist saying the same thing. Is anyone else having troubles with meebo?

I'm not having trouble with my meebo directly ( seperate browser ), but I see what you mean about yours from your profile . . . I just meebo'd you and changed the nickname to reflect a message from me and it posted twice. Once from me and a second time as if from you with the exact message . . . hmmm ?
I've been using meebo a while and not had this happen before, however I've not used it in ChickAdvisor so I'm not sure how/why it's doing this.
I guess one of us needs to be online and give the other one a shout ??? If you want to test it out, I'll try to stay logged in most of the day and if any of you go to my profile, try to meebo me. It will say I'm offline and to leave a message because I'm signed in as "invisible". Later I need to go to an appointment, but I'll be online at various times today - tina

I've never had that happen.

I use meebo practically daily as my primary chat client. I have accounts on all the main chat services and its retarded to have to log into all of them to find different friends. So I used Trillian for a while. Trillian, like meebo, allows you to log into all your chat services w/ just one login name and password. It works great. But then meebo came along ... no software to download, it opens in your browser, and isn't blocked at work!!! :-)
