New Job

I recently got a new job with a good company. The pay is going to be good but I am beyond satisfied. I am a writer/blogger at heart but this job is administrative. I was laid off in summer 2013 and this is my first job since then. I am feeling depressed, anxious and unfulfilled. I am grateful for employment, please don't think I am not, I am simply LOST.

Don't despair. We can get stuck in a rut sometimes and it can feel like a bottomless pit, however, things do get better. You have a new job which is a positive thing, but if it's still not your "dream job", how about writing a plan or creating a vision board to help you center yourself again? You can find tons of information on how to do this online, but the main essence is to list the goals you have and visualize them by coming up with a timeframe and plan on how you'll achieve them. A great website on how to go about doing this is:

The creator of this website, Jennifer Lee, has also written books related to this topic and the way she goes about guiding you is hands on and easy to understand. Highly recommended! Good Luck!

New job

Congratulations on your new job! I know it's a major step in your life now and things will probably be hectic for a few months-til you get the routine down. My advice is just go with the flow at work and when you get home and on weekends, do your blogs and whatever else interests you. There is time for both-you just have to find it. Be lucky that you have a job. Here in Georgia-there are so many unemployed and no one's hiring. My husband works 7 days a week! As I stated earlier, write/blog on weekends or even in the evenings after you get off work or on your lunch break. There are ways to balance the 2. Goodluck--Ginger.
