Aaaaah! Does anyone else find these commercials incredibly annoying? I hate the sound of chewing. I hate the sound of dogs eating dog food. It makes my skin crawl. Every time that commercial comes on I find myself highly agitated and I have to mute it immediately... anyone else? Did anyone else even notice that?

Can't say that I've noticed it. But then, I've always had at least one dog around me and I'm used to it. I actually LIKE hearing it/watching them eat; it's cute. And, it's the silly little things like that you miss first and the most once they're gone.

I'm actually the exact opposite when it comes to these commercials! Haha. I love them. I don't know why, but the crunching sound they make on the commercial is so cute (weird..I know), of couse, as are the puppies! I was just telling my boyfriend last week that I thought the commercials are cute. I'm just a sucker when it comes to puppies.

HAHAHA!! on Aug 19, 2008 @ 10:28 pm

For some reason, I find that hilarious: "I hate the sound of dogs eating dog food."

LOL! Ohhh wow. I never even gave that a second thought! I don't mind the chewing noise! Dogs gotta eat....! Unfortunately, they do not have manners like people do!

Maybe because it is crunchy dog food. That makes noise. If you give them wet dog food (like from a can) then it doesn't make a sound as loudly. Except it is bad for their teeth. And it makes their poo harder to scoop! (Oops, for those non-dog lovers out there... this is one more reason to dislike dogs!)

Ahahahaha... Ali, that one comment made my day! Funny how one person's annoyance at the sound of dogs eating is the funniest thing that someone else had heard all day....

LOL. Haha! Ok I'm done now.

Ah hahah! on Aug 20, 2008 @ 09:27 am

YES! I hate the sound of chewing. I always switch channels...the dogs are cute and everything but the chewing sound grosses me out!

It's just Soooooo loud! on Aug 20, 2008 @ 11:18 am

They have the volume boosted so all you hear is "CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH ... SLUUURP! CRUNCH CRUNCH..."

Like nails on a chalkboard.

Mind you I am childless and petless.

Still... on Aug 22, 2008 @ 12:49 pm

I am childless but I do have a dog and the commercial still annoys me....more the slurping than anything else! Yuck!

Target audience on Aug 22, 2008 @ 11:23 pm

Well, the dog's chewing and biting on the dental bones is actually a normal activity. If you are the commercial's target audience then you should be hearing those sounds quite often as dogs make those sound when they eat.
And if you find them annoying, then it just means that you are not their target audience and even if they change the commercial to be "less annoying", you are not going to go in to the store to buy their products.
But i know what you mean. There are definitely commercials that has annoying sound or music. I hate those old "Old Navy" commercial music. They are absolutely horrible.
I think the new one is by Lights. It is not bad.

I used to have a dog on Aug 23, 2008 @ 12:13 am

I grew up with dogs and I had a dog of my own when I first moved to Toronto. I am just neurotic when it comes to annoying sounds.

Its mind boggling. on Aug 23, 2008 @ 12:32 am

But i have similar situation. I hate the sound that my sister makes when she eats. That's why I avoid to eat with her at the same time.
Sometimes i even gush in all the food in minutes if i have to eat at the same time.

ugh, grossness on Sep 27, 2008 @ 08:54 pm

I just saw that commercial and was soooo irritated I googled "i hate
the commercial where a dog is eating" to see if there were any others
like me out there...and lo and behold, here some of you are.

I also hate the commercial where two girls in an SUV are SLURPING their
coffee and any commercials that exaggerate the chips and
