So I'm not sure about you all, but I am a HUGE reality tv junkie! I literally watch them ALL! The upcoming season is bringing back some old favorites like American Idol (Randy Jackson is the only familiar face left on the judging panel! What do you think about that?), Big Brother, Who Do You Think You Are?, The Biggest Loser, The Bachelor (controversial this season because they brought back Brad Womak; the man who rejected all the girls before!), and my all time favorite SURVIVOR!
Which of these shows are you most excited to see again? I bet Idol will have tons of viewers... but maybe just because of curiosity of how it might be without Simon! I really can't see anyone having the impact that Simon had on that show...Although Producer Nigel Lithgow seems to be pretty optimistic about the new season, apparently claiming that there will be new 'twists'.

I really only watched Idol because of Simon, and even then I never made it all the way through a whole season nor have I watched portions of more than 4 or 5 seasons anyway. The last time I watched semi regularly was when Carrie Underwood won. So now that Simon is gone, I really have no incentive whatsoever.
Coincidentally, the only Bachelor I ever watched all the way through was Brad Womack's first go-round! So it's now my guilty pleasure, even though my husband glares, sighs and expounds loudly on the inanity of it all.
I have preferred shows that demonstrated talents above interpersonal, so in the past I've been a fan of Apprentice (but since left that far behind), Hell's Kitchen, Project Runway, and So You Think You Can Dance. I have also been a fairweather fan of Biggest Loser and The Amazing Race. However, with kids and a hubby in the house who all hate reality TV, I almost never get to watch the shows I want. Probably for the best!

I agree. Simon was one of the main reasons (if not the ONLY reason) I watched the show as well, as I am sure with many other people. But I just can't help but wonder what the new judging panel will bring to the table? I just hope they don't 'over-try' and come off as fake in trying to replace Simon.
@mamaluv. I cannot believe that the only season you have watched before was Womak's! It was probably one of the worst to be honest. I don't know what it is about him. Something about his eyes makes him look really creepy and suspicious! From far away, he's not bad. ;)

At that time, my hubby was traveling more than usual for business so I guess I was bored! The only other Bachelor season I watched in its entirety was the first Bachelorette with Trista Rehn-Sutter!

I am so sad that I am going to miss the new season of The Biggest Loser, the place I'm renting doesn't have cable so I'll have to see if I can find them online.
Re: The Bachelor
I have decided to take a break from my once favourite show. I experienced two giant let downs in a row, first from Jake when he chose Vienna (and then rubbed salt in the wound when he turned out to be a huge weirdo on DWTS) and then again when Ali chose Roberto.
