I need some unique ideas for a staggette...my bestfriend is having her wedding there and I'm living in Toronto..I will have contacts in Winnipeg that can help me but for now i'd like more ideas. I don't think the whole bar hopping thing will be unique enough so let me know if you have any faves!!!

Hey hot_ma! I'm from Winnipeg but moved to Toronto several years ago. I had my wedding and staggette there.
I guess it depends on the bride's personality and the time of year. My friends are all about parading the bride around from place to place in a ridiculous outfit of some sort with a home made veil.
If your friend is fun loving, you could all head out glow bowling with said ridiculous outfit, then out for dinner after somewhere fun like Earls (Main street by the Forks).
If she prefers be pampered, you could all head out to the spa at the Inn at the Forks followed by a nice dinner in the restaurant (fantastic food!)
If it's in the spring or summer going down Corydon Avenue (Little Italy) is a fun thing to do as she'll get a lot of attention and there are a number of really great Italian restaurants with a fun vibe there.
The tough thing about Winnipeg is there isn't a huge amount of selection in what you could do.
Generally speaking the most fun can be had when costumes and public appearances are involved. I've seen brides wearing tshirts with candies all over them that says "suck for a buck" (yep) but usually that works best in bars. I've also seen one where the bride wore a plan white tshirt and then strangers sign it while she's wearing it. Makes for some pretty funny pictures.
Keep us posted on what you end up doing! Good luck!
