Sunburn help?

Hey chicks hope everyone's summer is going good. I haven't been on here as much since I've been sick but I'm coming around now so I'm here checking back in for some advice!
I'm not overly fair skinned and my whole life sun burns have never been an issue, I usually tan pretty nicely. Today I spent the day in the yard with my dogs and didn't feel any burning or see any until this evening. My leg, top of foot and shoulders are pretty tender and stingy. Anyone have any sunburn remedies? I have aloe gel here I'm using but its not doing much to make me feel better. I don't think its bad enough to warrant medical intervention but just wondering if anyone has any remedies to get the stinging to stop so I can hopefully get some sleep. Maybe it'll take a few days. Im such a baby lol! Thanks ladies.

Sunburn Remedy

Aloe vera gel should do the trick. It`s cooling and will relieve your sunburn :)

I use the aloe vera gel as well but I always keep mine in the refrigerator making it extra soothing on a sunburn.

Oh my goodness YES keeping the aloe vera in the fridge makes a huge difference. It feels so nice you'll want to keep reapplying. Hope your sunburn gets less uncomfortable soon! I always burn at the worst times... like two days before my prom in highschool. If I ever get married I'll be sure to stay out of the sun for a while so I don't end up with fresh burns!

Have you tried Noxzema? When I got a really bad sunburn when I went to Jamaica, I soothed my sunburned skin with Noxzema. It has been around since I was a little girl.

I got burnt twice in 2 weeks so I could feel your pain. First thing is put some after sun (Aloe Vera).

I discovered the Nivea in shower lotion (they were giving them out at my gym) decided to try it. OMG, that thing really helped with the sting and the peeling.

I also put on the Velveteen Milk made by Cake Beauty on as well. So second time I got burnt the Nivea in shower really saved me from the sting feeling. That stuff is pretty amazing and works well without the feel of lotion on your body. Give it a try, and if you are like me, whom hates the feeling of lotion on your body, Nivea in shower is such a life saver.

Thanks ladies. The aloe in the fridge is genius I wouldn't of thought of that. I didn't sleep very well at all last night. Everytime I moved the sheets killed

Aloe vera straight from the plant or a gel!

I use to tan,

but not any more!
Use cold wet cloths and keep re-soaking them in cold water and reapplying until your pain stops. Than use either aloe, or Noxzema.
I always laid out in the sun and would get beautiful tans, but that was years ago when the sun wasn't as strong. We'd cover our self's in baby oil and spray water on our self's to attract the sun more! Stupid very stupid, but we were young and didn't care. The last time I laid burned I was still in my twenties, I did all of what I just said and I laid out all day long not thinking anything of it. That is until I went in the house to shower. When the warm water hit my skin I felt like I was on fire all the way down my chest and back! By night fall I was covered in huge blisters! My mom and aunt were having a fit thinking I was going to be scarred for life. While being stupid like I was at the time I just laughed at them waited for it to go away and laid back out in the sun. Guess what? The very same thing happened to me only worse! I was in so much pain I just wanted to die! My mom kept applying cold wet cloths on me until the pain stopped than covered me in Noxzema. I got lucky and didn't scar that time, but I sure did blister. I haven't been able to lay out since that last time. Every time I even tried a bit I could feel my skin start to bake. I wouldn't be surprised at all if I ended up with skin cancer at some point in my life. So please keep my story in mind and please don't do this to your self again, its really not worth it!!!
