I always say 'the other day' to mean any time period from a couple of days to a couple of years, it drives my husband crazy, but when we lived in Scotland he realised why; it's a Scottish thing!

I tend to go through cycles of heavily used phrases often influence by the TV or movies I watch or who I hang out with.

Lately I often say Diggity, when completing tasks. And something I started saying a lot when I'm trying to figure something out is 'Get it together, Webster' but in a non harsh, jokey way!
