Will you be splurging or saving this Christmas?

Apparently this year more families are cutting down on what they will spend for Christmas. What do you think... will you spend more, spend less, or spend about what you spent last year for the holidays?

Same

We have never been people who spend a lot on Christmas. It has always been about being with family and the experience of Christmas, rather than the presents. We will definitely have presents but we won't spend an arm and a leg on them.

Budgeting

I'm aiming to spend a set amount on different tiers of family/friends. I've been budgeting for this - and it's due to some crappy situations this year has provided.

Saving Money

I have been trying to save in every aspect of my life, (frugal? maybe), so I am hoping that we can cut down a little this Christmas. We cut down on our spending a little last year, but hoping to get better deals and spend less this year.

It was different when I had a little child at home. Most of it was spent on him, plus our little nephews and nieces.

Spending Carefully!

I think I will probably be spending about the same as last year - just shopping a little smarter! Keeping an eye out for deals and free shipping and the like. Also love making some gifts from the kitchen - which aren't exactly inexpensive to make - but made with care and lots of love!

Neither

I don't save or splurge. I am always on the frugal side, but believe that Christmas is the one time a year where I buy what they will like, not what is cheap or on sale.

saving

I honestly don't have the money this year to buy anyone any presents. We have a baby due Dec. 27, so our energy is going into that and preparing for the baby's arrival. I did buy something for my mom back in July, so at least there's one present under the tree. And my husband and I both bought each other PS4 games as early Christmas presents. I was hoping this year we'd be able to do stockings for each other and actually have money in our christmas esavings account, but with the baby, that's just not happening.

Saved this year!

I save this year we had a budget of getting gifts exchange $20 value gifts and of course they are gift wrapped and get a number if first on the number you picked first but I was satisfied of what I got, a cookbook, MasterChef! :) and this was at my aunt's place (potluck) and I personally brought four gifts from Lush, one for me, two 14.95 gift sets a couple of facial masks for three of my friends and it was different brands and I delivered it to them, for my best friend I gave her a Lush gift and a 'Lisa' lipgloss by Buxom she gave me a Christmas socks, and a perfume
