back pain

I suffer from chronic lower back pain, I usually take robax platinum and voltaren topical cream, but I am interested to know what other pain relievers might work well, as I do not want my body to get use to the one brand.

Back pain

I use those, and also Life Brand Back and Muscle. I rely most heavily on stretches, yoga, ergonomic aids and my standing desk. I try to avoid drugs as much as possible, and if its acute I start with my massage/heating pad first.

I find Aleve works well for me along with the heating pad and I usually use a pillow, put it under my lower back area and try and stretch out for 5 minutes at a time throughout the day.

Back Pain recommendations

Gel based ibuprofen pain relief gel in a tube offers temporary relief from lower back pain but gels and creams tend to make a mess - if the pain’s like really unbearable co-codamol pain killers would be a last resort but they’re strong so tablets might not be for everybody

Back pains and gel pads

God I'm with you all. I have had back pains for ever. But have taken all sorts of pain killers. Now I use gel pads that you can either freeze or heat up. I put them on my back and lay down. They truly do help and found once I do some form of exercise and stretching it helps to relax my muscles. Give them a try xx

When my muscular aches in my lower back got really bad - I was using the Salonpas painkilling patches which are like a cooling sensation in the affected area. Those and a TENS machine turned up high to interrupt the pain signals.
