Can you judge dissability

Geordie girl

Im 52 years old have blonde coloured hair small build and casually dress .a year ago i took serious ill ended up on a life support .organ failure with sepsis .Well against the odds i reciverd and had normal brain function ( well some would question this lol ) anyway i have been left with 24% lung function so i walk slow and tasks even hoovering is compromised greatly Ì have a blue badge for my car but quite a lot of people look ,comment or shake there head if i use a disabled parking bay .having this illness  is bad enough but being judged is embarrassing and very upseting  at times .so do we judge people to easily these days ? or just like to moan more these  days ? .

I'm so sorry you're going through that after all you've already been through :(

People can be very quick to judge. Obviously this doesn't compare to what you're going through at all but I sat in a priority seat on the bus the other day (7 months pregnant) and the bus driver screamed at me in front of everyone to get out of the seat because he couldn't see I was pregnant. It's such a horrible feeling and leaves you feeling so self conscious and trying to act really obviously like you're struggling just to prove to people that you're worthy enough.
I know it's much easier said than done, but try not to let those random strangers get to you. You have the badge for a good reason and have every right to park in a disabled parking bay.

my husband has muscle problems amongst other nerve problems and uses crutches for it to stable his walk we have a blue badge and you wouldn’t believe the dirty looks we / he gets because people see the crutches but they don’t know what there for . It’s so annoying the invisible disabilities are the worst as people Seam to visually need to see your disability or don’t believe it makes me so cross ! X

Hidden disability sucks

Hi I also have a hidden disability and I’m sure people look when I park in a disabled bay. I say who are they to judge, They don’t know me or what I go through on a daily basis. I have fibromyalgia and I’m a breast cancer survivor to name but two yo can see my illnesses and I wouldn’t wish them on an enemy. Hold your head up high girl you were given your badge for a reason and it not for others to judge.
Stay strong
